The AEHS mental health clinic provides therapy and medication management to children ages 5 and up and adults. Individuals seeking treatment may walk into one of our clinics to schedule an intake appointment.
Adults are responsible for making their own intake appointment. However, some exceptions are made when the adult has limitations that make this difficult or impossible for them to do so. In these cases, a guardian or care provider could schedule the intake appointment. This person should also attend the first appointment to aid in the completion of the initial paperwork.
Intake: Child & Adolescent
A parent or legal guardian must attend the initial intake appointment with their child and will need to be available for ongoing treatment and treatment planning. In Maryland, a child at least 16 years old or older has the same capacity as an adult to engage in outpatient mental health services. In this case, the child will complete and sign the initial paperwork and ongoing treatment planning documentation.
